Barista Basics Pitcher Rinser with Drain Tray for Bars and Cafes, NSF Approved, 7 x 24 Inch

Clean Rinse. No Slowdown. Built for the Bar.

In a busy café or bar, the rinse between pitchers, cups, and glasses is one of those steps that happens hundreds of times a shift. When the tool doing that job is built right, nobody notices it. When it isn't, the whole line slows down.

The Barista Basics Pitcher Rinser is built to stay invisible in the best way: fast, clean, and out of the way. The rinser head sits at one end of a full-length perforated stainless drain tray, giving baristas and bartenders room to rinse pitchers, cups, glasses, and portafilter baskets and set them down to drain without fighting for counter space. The 3/8" John Guest press fitting cold water connection and 1.5" drain barb fitting connect to standard plumbing without a complicated install. Set it up, dial in the pressure between 15 and 30 PSI, and it's ready to work.

NSF/ANSI 169 certified for special purpose food equipment and devices, so it meets the cleanliness and safety standards required in commercial food service environments.

This is the rinser for operations that move fast and can't afford a tool that gets in the way.

Barista Basics Pitcher Rinser Features That Deliver

Integrated Perforated Stainless Drain Tray
The rinser head sits at one end of a full-length perforated stainless steel drain tray, giving baristas an immediate place to set rinsed vessels while they drain. The tray accommodates 4 to 6 pitchers at a time, keeping rinsed vessels off the counter and out of the way during a rush. Water drains through the perforated surface and out through the same drain connection as the rinser, so nothing pools on the counter. The whole unit measures 7 x 24 inches, keeping the footprint contained while giving the bar genuine working surface at the rinse station.

3/8" John Guest Press Fitting Cold Water Connection
The cold water connection uses a 3/8" John Guest press fitting for a clean, secure hookup that works with standard commercial plumbing. Cold water only: hot water damages the internal seals, so this is a dedicated cold line connection. Recommended operating pressure is 15 to 30 PSI for consistent rinse performance.

1.5" Drain Barb Fitting
The 1.5" drain barb fitting connects to standard commercial drain lines, keeping the counter dry and the workflow moving. No standing water, no overflow, no stopping to empty a basin mid-service.

NSF/ANSI 169 Certified
NSF International certifies this rinser to the requirements of NSF/ANSI 169, the standard for special-purpose food equipment and devices. For commercial kitchens, cafes, and bars operating under health department oversight, that certification is available upon request and confirms the rinser meets the hygiene and material safety standards required in food service environments.

Versatile Across Bar and Café Applications
Built for both espresso bars and full-service bars, this rinser handles the full range of what gets rinsed during service: steam pitchers, milk jugs, cocktail glasses, beer glasses, coffee cups, and more. One tool, one footprint, one less thing to think about during a rush.

Who the Barista Basics Pitcher Rinser Is For

This rinser is built for commercial environments where speed and cleanliness at the rinse station are non-negotiable.

It's the right fit for:

• High-volume espresso bars rinsing steam pitchers continuously throughout service.
• Full-service bars and restaurants rinsing glassware between pours without pulling from the main dish station.
• Café setups where NSF certification is required to meet local health department standards.
• Bar builds where counter space is at a premium and one tool needs to handle multiple vessel types.
• Any operation adding a dedicated rinse station to a new or renovated bar build.

How the Barista Basics Pitcher Rinser Compares

Barista Basics vs. Krome Dispense Pitcher Rinser
Krome is a well-distributed commercial bar and café equipment brand and their pitcher rinsers are a common choice for new bar builds. Both units offer stainless steel construction and standard plumbing connections designed for commercial installation.

The Barista Basics rinser differentiates on pan size and sourcing. At 7 x 24 inches, the pan accommodates a wider range of vessel sizes in a single footprint, and it carries NSF/ANSI 169 certification for operations where that documentation is required.

Choose Krome when it's already specified in a build or when broad distribution is the priority. Choose Barista Basics when pan size, NSF certification, and direct parts access matter to your operation.

Barista Basics vs. Rhino Coffee Gear Pitcher Rinser
Rhino Coffee Gear is a respected specialty coffee equipment brand with strong recognition in the café community, particularly in Australia and international markets. Their rinser products are well-regarded for build quality and barista-focused design.

For North American operators, the practical consideration is parts and support availability.

Choose Rhino if you're already in their ecosystem or operating in a market where their distribution is established. Choose Barista Basics when domestic availability and dependable support are what your operation requires.

Barista Basics vs. Regency Underbar Equipment
Regency is a broad-line commercial food service equipment manufacturer with a wide catalog that includes underbar and bar equipment. Their rinser options are typically sold as part of larger underbar builds and are a common spec in restaurant and hospitality projects.

The Barista Basics rinser is purpose-built for the rinse station itself, with a focus on espresso bar and bar service workflows rather than general underbar integration. For operations looking for a standalone rinser that installs into an existing setup without a full underbar package, the Barista Basics unit offers a more direct solution with café and bar-specific design details.

Choose Regency when you're building out a full underbar setup and want a matched equipment package. Choose Barista Basics when you need a dedicated, high-performance rinser that installs cleanly into an existing bar or café setup.

Key Takeaway
Krome wins on broad distribution and spec familiarity. Rhino Coffee Gear wins on specialty coffee credibility and international presence. Regency wins on full underbar package integration. The Barista Basics Pitcher Rinser wins on pan size, NSF certification, workflow versatility, and dependable domestic support. For bars and cafes that need a rinser that keeps up without taking up space or requiring a full equipment overhaul, this is the one built for the job.

Why We Recommend the Barista Basics Pitcher Rinser

Barista Basics was built by people who know what commercial bars and cafes actually need from their tools. The pitcher rinser came out of the same thinking as every product in the line: what does this tool have to do, how many times does it have to do it, and what makes it easy to maintain when something eventually needs attention.

The 7 x 24 inch pan came from watching how much real estate gets wasted at the rinse station when the vessel doesn't fit cleanly. The John Guest press fitting connection came from wanting an install that plumbers and bar builders recognize immediately. The NSF certification came from knowing that commercial operators need documentation, not just a claim.

This is the rinser we'd put on our own bar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can this rinser be used with hot water?
A: No. The cold water connection uses a 3/8" John Guest press fitting designed for cold water only. Hot water damages the internal seals and will void the performance of the fitting. Always connect to a cold water supply line.

Q: What water pressure does this rinser require?
A: Recommended operating pressure is 15 to 30 PSI. Operating outside that range can affect rinse performance and fitting integrity.

Q: Is this rinser NSF certified?
A: Yes. The Barista Basics Pitcher Rinser is NSF/ANSI 169 certified for special-purpose food equipment and devices. Certification documentation is available upon request.

Q: Does the rinser include a drain tray?
A: Yes. The unit includes an integrated perforated stainless steel drain tray that runs the full length of the 7 x 24 inch footprint. The rinser head sits at one end and the tray gives you room to set 4 to 6 rinsed pitchers down to drain without taking up additional counter space.

Q: Can this rinser handle glasses and cups in addition to pitchers?
A: Yes. The 7 x 24 inch pan is sized to accommodate steam pitchers, milk jugs, coffee cups, rocks glasses, pint glasses, and portafilter baskets. It's designed for the full range of vessels used in café and bar service.

Q: What drain connection does this rinser use?
A: The drain uses a 1.5" barb fitting that connects to standard commercial drain lines.

Q: Do I need anything else to install this rinser?
A: Yes. The rinser requires a cold water supply connection and a drain line hookup that are not included with the unit. You can source the components yourself or pick up the Barista Basics Complete Rinser Install Kit, which includes everything needed for a standard countertop or in-counter installation: drain hose, John Guest tubing, angle stop valve, check valve, union elbow, locking clips, hose clamps, and a 90-degree elbow for tight-space installs. If your water pressure exceeds 30 PSI, you will also need a pressure regulator. The install kit is sold separately.

Q: Are there any installation notes I should know before mounting?
A: A few important ones. Remove the white laser film from the stainless steel before installing. Edges can be sharp prior to installation, so handle with care. Check local plumbing codes before installation: PVB, SVB, or RP style backflow preventers are sometimes required depending on your jurisdiction.
